“Yankee Tavern,” whether it knew it or not, was one of the first plays to utilize the Trident paradigm. Produced by the Sheridan Civic Theatre Guild, “Yankee Tavern” allowed audiences a truly Chekhovian experience: a play that asks many important social, cultural, and philosophical questions, and allows the audience the opportunity to leave the theatre to discuss possible answers.
